CODEPLUG TECHNOLOGY · BOLI
Privacy policy
Effective 13 October 2026
Boli is an Android keyboard and voice, rewriting and translation app provided by CodePlug Technology. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Boli. The current closed test is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Typing, voice and AI requests
Ordinary keyboard typing is processed on your device. When you choose a voice or AI feature, Boli sends the recording or text you select, language and style choices to our backend and Sarvam AI to transcribe, rewrite or translate it. Microphone access is used for recordings you initiate. Clipboard text is used when you choose the relevant paste or translation action. Avoid submitting sensitive information or information you do not have permission to share.
Our backend does not keep an audio recording archive or a conversation history. It temporarily caches generated text results in server memory to answer repeated requests; entries are removed as the cache fills or the service restarts. Sarvam processes submitted content under its applicable service terms and privacy practices. See Sarvam's privacy policy.
Plans, purchases and identifiers
Boli generates an installation identifier to associate your device with its plan and usage allowances. Our backend stores that identifier, purchase tokens, plan and expiry details, usage counters, top-up balances, access-code redemption records and transaction reporting records. Google Play handles payment details; Boli does not receive your full card details. Purchase tokens are checked with Google Play to activate plans and handle renewals and refunds.
Free starter allowance
When available, starter credits are tracked on our backend against your random installation identifier and do not renew. No login or payment is required. To limit abuse we use daily network-level quota buckets derived from a daily salted hash of your network address; raw addresses are not stored in those buckets. These operational limits are separate from optional advertising analytics. When usage statistics are enabled, we also measure the starter banner, first successful starter use, feature-use counts and allowance exhaustion. These events contain only feature categories (voice, polish or translation), never message content or recordings.
Analytics and advertising measurement
When usage statistics are enabled, Boli uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure installs, app and paywall interactions, plan selection and purchase outcomes. This can include app-instance and advertising identifiers, device and app information, and approximate location inferred by Google from network information. Our backend can send purchase, renewal and refund events with an app-instance identifier and a hashed installation identifier to Google Analytics for advertising measurement. Message text, recordings and clipboard contents are not included in these analytics events.
You can turn off Share usage statistics in Boli Settings. This stops future app analytics collection and clears the local analytics identifier. It does not automatically erase records already processed by service providers. See Google's privacy policy.
Service providers and security
Cloudflare hosts our backend and processes network and operational information such as IP addresses and request logs. Sarvam supplies speech and language processing. Google supplies app distribution, billing and analytics. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Production requests use HTTPS. Access controls protect backend records, but no service can guarantee absolute security. We do not sell your message text or recordings.
Retention and deletion
We retain plan, usage and transaction records while needed to provide access, resolve support requests, prevent fraud and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. These records currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Operational logs and provider-held information follow the relevant provider's retention settings and policies. Removing the app clears its local data but does not by itself remove backend or provider records.
To request access, correction or deletion, email satz@codeplugtech.in. Include the installation ID shown in Boli Settings so we can locate your records. We may ask for verification before acting. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. Deleting data does not cancel a Google Play subscription; manage subscriptions in Google Play.
Children
This closed-test release is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided information through Boli, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
